The Yonex ASTREL 100 Tennis Racquet is built for advanced recreational players who place an emphasis on a lightweight frame for the utmost in control and power. Using React Resin, a lightweight and flexible material built into the graphite, the ASTREL 100 is built to be more flexible and comfortable than a typical game improvement racquet. Continuing the comfort trend, Yonex incorporates the Tri-Shut System with three different materials: Vibslayer Carbon, Shock–less Grommets, and Vibration Dampening Mesh. VDM is a stretchy mesh material wrapped around the graphite inside the handle to filter out unwanted vibrations. The handle of the Astrel 100 features Yonex’ Ergo Power Grip which means the grip is larger at the bottom, and thinner towards the top of the grip. The system allows more of your hand to be in contact with the grip for better access to power.

The 100 square inch Isometric head shape enlarges the sweet spot of the ASTREL 100, while the open 16×18 string pattern makes it easy to create spin. While the beam is tapered slightly thicker (25.5/27.5/24mm) the 9.9 ounce unstrung weight keeps the ASTREL incredibly mobile.
